A former magazine editor and consummate story teller, Sam believes great design is about capturing the essence of a person, a mood, or a moment and translating it into something we can touch and feel. 

​

Her designs are as much her own as they are the stories they tell about the people who live inside them. They are about babies born and grown children leaving to make their mark on the world. Old hearts broken, lives upturned and new hearts full. They are about the people we've lost and the ones we can't wait to come home to. 

 

Sam's work reflects a deep understanding of her clients’ needs, paired with a fundamental knowledge of architectural history, all backed by wild inspiration. 

 

Voted by the Globe and Mail as one of the top  designers in the country, Sam is regularly featured in interior design publications nationally and internationally. In Canada, House & Home magazine, Style at Home magazine, The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star have featured her work. Internationally, Sam Sacks Design has been profiled in House Beautiful, Living Etc in the UK, , Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, My Domaine, Apartment Therapy, The Spruce and Rue Magazine. 

 

A mother of three, Sam gets kids, loves decorating for families and knows how to design around a hairy dog.
